Our History

FHNA is the successor of the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance, which was founded informally by Finn Hill neighbors in 1994 and incorporated in 1996 to care for the watersheds on the western side of Finn Hill. DCNA partnered with supporters, schools, and the King County government to shape land use policy, restore open spaces, educate, and celebrate with students and community members.

When Finn Hill was annexed by the City of Kirkland in 2011, DCNA's members voted to expand the organization’s role to represent all of the Finn Hill neighborhood. New bylaws were approved to comply with City of Kirkland requirements, and DCNA renamed itself the Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance.
