FHNA is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by a part-time Community Engagement Coordinator. When Finn Hill was annexed by the City of Kirkland in 2011, the Denny Creek Neighborhood Association's members voted to expand the organization’s role to represent all of the Finn Hill neighborhood.

New bylaws were approved to comply with City of Kirkland requirements and DCNA renamed itself the Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance.
