About the event
Join us for a thrilling night hike under the October Full Moon! This is said to be the largest and brightest Harvest Supermoon of 2025. (The moon will appear larger and brighter than other full moons because it's closer to Earth in its orbit. The full moon closest to the Autumn Equinox is called the Harvest Moon).
Led by naturalist, author, and FHNA legend Ellen Haas, and nature educator and FHNA Engagement Coordinator Kerstin Rogers, it's sure to be a compelling experience of nature connection.
The hike: We will start at the Lacrosse fields at Big Finn Hill Park (across from the playground) to watch the moon rise from the baseball field! Then we'll walk through the wetland forest under the rising full moon.
