About the event
Join founding member of the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance (which later became FHNA) Ellen Haas on a free-roaming, guided exploration of the beautiful forest within O.O. Denny Park, housing one of the largest Douglas Fir trees in King County, named Sylvia, and the beautiful salmon stream that FHNA has worked to restore.
Ellen Haas is a former teacher and an author of books on the Coyote Mentoring Way of teaching deep nature connection. It's a model used by the popular Wilderness Awareness School for engaging people's innate sense of curiosity, wonder, and joy in connecting with nature.
To join, please meet up at the upper parking lot at O.O. Denny Park, just East of Holmes Point Dr.
Follow the FHNA signs. Come dressed for the weather and know you might get dirty!
