🍄 Mushroom identification introduction - Meet the fungus of Finn Hill! 🍄
Learn about their life cycle and their importance to the forest. Get to know some common Fall mushrooms. Learn how to take photos for identification or art. Discuss how to safely forage mushrooms for food. (We won't be eating any in class!) Look at a few mushroom books and learn how to use them. Use all your senses to appreciate the wonder and beauty of the forest!
LOGISTICS:
We will be walking up to a mile on wet slippery trails.
Please arrive early and be ready to start at noon.
This is an all-ages event. Children are highly encouraged!
