Reflecting on DennyFest 2025
DennyFest was a community endeavor
DennyFest was a truly community experience. It came together for community, by community. It took 55 volunteers, tireless leaders from two organizations, donations from local businesses, sponsorship from local companies, and the time and generosity of neighbors to make it happen. It happened for the 17th time on Finn Hill. And it was a blast!
Deepest thanks to our Presenting Sponsor EvergreenHealth. We couldn’t have done it without you! And huge thanks to our Entertainment Sponsor Ziply Fiber — we couldn’t have made it as fun without you! Warmest thanks to Engel and Völkers that sponsored the bouncy house for the kids, and all the businesses that donated for our raffle or contributed: The Lodge, Patty’s Eggnest, Spud Fish and Chips, MOD skin and body, QFC, ZingHQ and Wild Child Portraits.
And a very special thank you to Carmin Dalziel, Executive Director of the Kirkland Community Foundation, for donating her time and expertise in event planning to Coordinating DennyFest. It was a huge job, and she did it so gracefully, and joyfully.
We’re grateful as well to Nancy and Dick Gode for contributing to the cost of building the excellent new picnic shelter in O.O. Denny Park. We’ve been waiting for it for many years and it will serve the community well for decades to come.
Highlights of DennyFest 2025 were:
Reptile Man and his fabulous creatures!
An adorable dog parade with funny commentary
Raffle prize giveaways
Great, soulful music by Willett's Flying A
Thoughtful conversations with local organizations
and a fun bouncy house and free facepainting for the kids
Warmest thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!
